| The construction of the 'Chiesa della Salute' began in 1631. The Church sits on the 'Punta della Dogana', in front of the 'Piazza San Marco' on the other side of the 'Canal Grande'. Inside this church you’ll find the famous 'Pentecostes' by Tiziano. The work was completed in 1529, but it was mysteriously destroyed soon after, and Tiziano had to paint it again in the 1540 decade. You’ll find other Tiziano’s works in the Church, like the ceiling paintings ('David and Goliath', 'Cain and Abel'). By Giuseppe Vanvitelli |
